Post chrismas aftermath!

Another christmas come and gone, bringing presents but sadly very little snow again :-/

got some cool stuff, amongst others: a very elite wallet from kat, by mont blanc, Xbox game from my mum, (1 of my list:)) and a recipe book by gordon ramsay /drool :F :F Katja was realy happy with her camera, she been making pictures of everything (stole the memory chip from my cam >.< ).

Christmas in sweden was mostly eating, between food i managed to do quite a bit of work on some personal projects and also leveld my wow chars a little. Food here was great! lots of fish stuff, salmon and such mmm and yesterday a big turkey dinner, i prepared 1 turkey with a recipe inspired by gordon and katjas mom the other one according to swedish tradition. Both where excelent.

I also made some stuffing which turned out delicious. I stuffed the turkey with ammaretto soaked apricots, half an orange, half a lemon and garlic. I spread herb butter (melted butter with thyme, rosemary, sage, garlic and zest of lemon) under the skin of said turkey which made the meat all nice and moist and the skin tasty and crispy :F:F. Turky sandwiches for lunch today :D

Today is the last day, i will update my photo album when i get back. boat leaves tomorrow morning at 8, then we have a little time in stockholm before the plane goes. Back to work tomorrow >.< although got to pick up a bed at lunchtime for the guestroom. And were going to the nutcracker at 20.00 (a present from me to myself, kat and mum).

Yarr!

Which Gordon Ramsay Cookbook did you get - I got Cooking for Friends, although strangely in the credits at the start the only person who gets credit for the food is Gordon's understudy Mark Sargeant.

either way, I can't wait to get started!

i got the 3 star chef book, real fancy, white with silver letters. Lots of very complicated recipes and food-design in there so i think im going to practice on some cheaper food first, would be a waste to mess up some truffels :P And the desserts look amazing *drool*
