Home Cinema!

OMG this is driving me crazy >.< i want a beamer, and i dislike wires… so I'm gonna connect the beamer to my ceiling light cable so no electric wires will be needed. so far so good.

now i got 4 media devices that need to go there… and i am not running 4 big cables up my wall and across the roof ~_~

so. my 2 computers have vga output, my also have a vga output for the xbox360.  I can convert the tv scart to vga with a 70 euro adapter so far so good.. got 4 the same cables. ok now i can get a sweet little vga switch for 6 euros which will let me manually select 1 of 4 inputs that gets sent to a single output. There is also a version with a remote control for 60 euros but I'm on a budget. Anyway great, were down to 1 cable :D

Its still a big clunky vga cable tho.. Now we have 2 options:
1. wireless vga - but these devices come in at 700 euros so not really an option
2. vga to cat5 converter, sounds good, sounds cheap, sounds like a simple little adapter. But all i can find are "make it yourself" instructions, which I'm not even gonna try, or ready made boxes with amplifier for up to 950 feet… not what i need.. i need like 8 meters ~_~ where is the simple solution when u need it!

Dammit, its late anyway, will look for it tomorrow… then there is the decision on which beamer to get..

Update..
found a vga cat5 extender that is still expensive but i would consider it at least on marktplaats.nl for 110 euros. soo i will think about it.

its going to cost about 200 euros anyway for the neccesary cables and switches. beamer will be around 400 euros… so is a home cinema worth 600 euros is 1 question, do i have 600 euros is another question… ponderponder..
