A friend of mind has a laptop of which the screen is broke. So she sent it back to HP to be fixed. Like most of these large companies they wormed themselves out of the guarentee with technicalities and quoted her 444 euros to fix it.
Anyhoo i scoured the net and came across www.replacedirect.com. Gave her the number (0492 - 390 223) she called and explained.. and got quoted 295 euros. So thats a bit better 
dont give them big companies extra satisfaction after cheating you out if your guarentee buy getting it fixed with them, just look for a cheaper alternative ^^
